Pelicans have joined the top of the ice hockey league: “Let’s enjoy the game now”

Head coach Tommi Niemelä is not speculating on the upcoming games or the standings, as the league is on Christmas break. The team is currently second in the league.

The Pelicans ice hockey team has had a strong autumn season. The team from Lahti went into the league’s Christmas break in second place.

– We are not thinking about the results of individual games, but about how we can do a better job day-to-day. The guys have been very involved in this from the very beginning.

Regardless of whether a game has been lost or won, the head coach has liked the look.

– The result has not affected how we have practiced the next day, but everyone has been developing with a positive attitude.

The league continues on Boxing Day, when the Pelicans face Pori Ässät in their home hall.
