Tanner Prize for literature teacher Aleksis Salusjärvi

Salusjärvi will be rewarded for her long-term, impressive and courageous work in promoting young people’s self-esteem, social inclusion and faith in the future through literature, the Foundation says in a press release.

This year, the Tanner Prize will focus on a far-reaching social act or work that promotes internal unity, according to the Foundation. Particular attention was paid to the focus on young people and young adults, and on the future.

The prize is worth €25 000. Six social actors were nominated.
