Strike threatens Lotto and Emma Awards – strike warning for film and TV industry
According to the Journalists’ Union, a strike could mean no live broadcasts.
The Journalists’ Union and the Union of Theatre and Media Workers have issued a strike warning for the film and TV industry, the Journalists’ Union says.
If implemented, the strike would last for one day, on 8 March, and would cover all tasks covered by the collective agreement. This would mean the cancellation of live broadcasts such as Lotto, MTV News, the Emma Gala and Putouss.
The National Mediator tells the X news service that mediation will start on 26 February.
The unions have been negotiating the sectors and salaries in the field as of December 13, with Palta service employers in the service sector.
A ban on overtime and stretching starting at 12 noon has also been announced today on Friday.
