Reissu Ruoti went into liquidation less than a year ago. The continuation of the business will ensure the preservation of more than 40 jobs.

Bus Travel Oy Reissu Sweden’s corporate restructuring plan has been confirmed by the Päijät-Häme District Court on 17 January 2025, the company says in a press release.

The decision confirms that the Reissu Ruot family business will continue to operate and that more than 40 jobs will be maintained in Lahti and the Helsinki metropolitan area.

Reissu Ruoti went into receivership after the company was forced to abandon its services in the Lahti region a year ago.

At that time, the company said that the technical problems of the electric buses proved to be overwhelming obstacles to manage traffic in the Lahti regional transport (LSL) area in a high-quality and profitable manner.

Ownership arrangements in the pipeline

The confirmation of the restructuring program that has been made now also involves financing and ownership arrangements.

The company says in its press release that the company has received the information with satisfaction. The previous two years have been difficult for the company, just like the entire industry.
