Various tourism and hobby activities have been planned for a long time in Maisansalo, located in Teisko.

Near Lake Näsijärvi, in an area of 15 hectares, we want to find an attractive business idea for unique lake and nature tourism.

The city of Tampere has opened an idea competition for the development of the Maisansalo area. Near Lake Näsijärvi, in an area of 15 hectares, they want to find a new leisure business concept that would create opportunities for unique lake and nature tourism.

The winning idea can include, for example, accommodation, culture, entertainment, sports and recreation services. Mere leisure living is not enough in itself. The main goal is to find a credible, innovative and attractive concept.

We hope for open-minded and bold competition proposals

– We want to find an implementer or a group of implementers that is responsible for the high-quality planning and implementation of the area. The city of Tampere will then continue to develop the area in cooperation with the winner of the competition, says Kamppari.
The city of Tampere is prepared for a possible site plan change and to hand over the plots and buildings required by the plan to the winner of the competition. The winner of the competition is responsible for financing, planning and building the project, either by himself or with partners.

Proposals must be submitted by April 7 at the latest

The material and proposal required to participate in the competition must be submitted by April 7, 2023 at 4 p.m. We aim to decide the result of the competition during May.

The competition is open to all participants, but the competitor must have sufficient technical and financial conditions and professional qualifications in relation to the scope of the project. Foreign companies or business groups are also allowed to participate in the competition, but the competition language is Finnish.
The competition program and materials can be downloaded from the Tampere city website.
