Finnish visual effects professionals win major Swedish film prize

Sami Haartemo, Mikko Löppönen, Teemu Pitkänen and Ville Pätsi won Sweden’s most prestigious film award, Guldbaggen.

Finnish visual effects professionals were awarded the most prestigious accolade in the film industry in Sweden, the Guldbaggen.

The quintet won the Best Visual Effects category.

Haartemo, Löppönen, Pitkänen and Pätsi work at James Post, a Helsinki-based post-production company whose work can be seen in the film *Sisu* and the Swedish TV series *Ohella wiralla*.

*Den svenska torpeden* was nominated in a total of eight different categories. The film eventually won four Guldbaggens. In addition to visual effects, the film was awarded for the best costuming, masking and production.
