Unemployment is decreasing in Päijät-Hämee in all age groups

Unemployment has eased in almost all municipalities of Päijät-Häme compared to the readings a year ago.

Only in Hartola are there more unemployed people now than in October last year. In Asikkala, unemployment decreased by as much as 24 percent, while in Päijät-Hämee as a whole the decrease was 12 percent.

The highest unemployment rate in the Ely center area of \u200b\u200bHäme is still in Lahti and Heinola, where 12.8 percent of the workforce is unemployed. There were 7,135 unemployed in Lahti and 976 in Heinola in October.

There are 1387 foreign unemployed jobseekers in Päijät-Hämee, where there is a slight increase compared to last year. There are 223 unemployed Ukrainians.

The number of vacancies last month was lower than a year ago.
