In Lahti, the most enthusiastic voters were in Nastola. Young people aged 16-17 in Päijät-Häme exercised their right to vote to varying degrees.
Voter turnout in the parish elections in Lahti was slightly lower than in the previous elections. The turnout was 8.9 per cent. The highest turnout was in Nastola, where 12.6 percent of those entitled to vote went to the polls.
Four years ago, 9.3% of people entitled to vote in Lahti went to the polls.
In Heinola parish, the turnout was 13.6 per cent, which is slightly lower than in 2018. In Heinola, 12.1% of young voters aged 16-17 used their right to vote.
In the parish of Hollola, which also includes Kärkölä, Padasjoki and Kuhmoinen, the voting percentage was 15.7. However, it is clearly lower than the previous parish elections. 7.3 percent of young people aged 16–17 voted.
In Asikkala, the voting percentage was 13.0.
In the entire country, the preliminary turnout for the parish elections was 12.7. In 2018, 14.4 percent of eligible voters voted in the elections.
