Around 100 000 people attended the three-day festival, both outdoors and indoors, to admire the light art.

Last weekend in Oulu, the Lumo light festival attracted the same number of visitors as last year. According to the City of Oulu, the number of visitors was around 100 000 people.

Despite the frost that set in over the weekend, there was a large crowd on all days of the festival. There were also queues, but people remained in good spirits, says a press release from the City of Oulu.

Next year’s Lumo Festival will be held in Oulu on 17-19 November.

The event also livened up the weekend of cafe and restaurant entrepreneurs in the center of Oulu. In addition, the festival’s popularity was reflected in side and regional events all over Oulu, from Lintulammi to Martinniemi.
