The redemption committee will decide on compensation in December.

Owners of around 100 properties in Lahti and Hollola are seeking compensation from the state for damage caused by the southern ring road.

The Väijävirasto has already sent replies to the landowners’ claims for compensation. For those in Lahti, they are still awaited.

The redemption committee is due to decide on compensation in mid-December. The decisions can still be appealed to the Land Court.

Committee chairman Teppo Rantanen does not comment on compensation amounts in advance. The approximately 13-kilometer southern ring road of Lahti was built between 2018 and 2020.
