In the comparison of almost 200 water utilities, the focus is, among other things, water quality and the relative number of broken pipes and blockages.

Lahti’s water supply facility Lahti Aqua has received the highest score in the key figure reporting of Finnish water utilities.

The comparison includes water quality, the relative number of broken pipes and blockages, the share of unbilled water in the amount of water pumped into the network, the permit index, and the share of leakage water in the total amount of wastewater.

Of all the water utilities involved in the reporting, along with Lahti Aqua, Porin Vesi also got the highest points. The weighted total scores of both institutions were 7.6/8 points.

In the comparison of the results of the Vesihuolto tila report, Lahti Aqua is among the large water utilities. With the help of the reporting system, water facilities can be compared with each other and operations can be developed.

In Finland, unlike many European countries, there is no body that monitors the service level of water supply facilities.
