SM-week will bring the top 25 Finnish athletes to Lahti next summer – with volleyball and mölkky among the sports on offer

Finland’s top athletes will gather in Lahti next August for the World Championships Week. The Finnish championships will be contested in 25 disciplines. The event will be broadcast on Yle channels.

Next year’s World Championship Week will be held in Lahti on 3-6 August, where a total of 25 Finnish championships will be contested.

The four days will include both familiar and less familiar species.

The sports competing in Lahti are open water swimming, beach taekwondo, billiards, coastal rowing, frisbee golf, archery, judo, handball, cricket, lacrosse, flag football, marathon kayaking, bouldering, powerlifting, petanque, wood rowing, cyclocross, beach volleyball, roller skating, saliband, pole dancing, dance/latin 1on1, ultimate, strongest SM and x-trial.

First timers at the SM week include floorball, Mölkky and dance Latin 1on1, where the Finnish championships are contested for the first time.

The WC week, which is part of the Olympic Committee’s list of events, was organized for the first time in 2016.

Yle Urheilu will broadcast a wide range of events and moods from the WC week.
