Rain or shine, there’s plenty to do on the autumn holidays. Here’s a list of tips on everything from video and board games to books, films and knitting.
Yle’s culture desk has put together a few ideas for when the autumn holidays seem to have nothing to do.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
The mechanics of Lego games haven’t changed much over the years, which is a good thing. Games that turn familiar movies into Lego adventures are fun and suitably easy. They also offer older gamers a nice nostalgia jolt: what could be better than replaying the scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) where Indiana Jones escapes a rolling cairn – as a Lego doll.
The world of Star Wars has been Lego’d before, but The Skywalker Saga, released this spring, takes the entire Skywalker family through the story, which is already nine films long. The gameplay has been improved, with the addition of flying and fighting on spaceships.
The Skywalker Saga is a good gateway to the classic film series for the little ones. For parents, it’s quite a nostalgia trip.
