Päijät-Sote will start offering monkeypox vaccinations next week to those most at risk of infection. Monkey vaccinations will be administered centrally at the infectious disease clinic of the Lahti Sote Centre from 19 October.

The vaccine is available to those who have been exposed to the disease, those who have had close contact with the affected person and those who are at highest risk of infection. Those at risk include men who have had sex with men, who have had multiple sexual partners in the last six months and who have also been diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease.

You can book an appointment for Apinarok vaccination electronically on the Päijät-Sote website or by phone.
