The importance of camping and hiking has increased year by year, says tourism entrepreneur Marja Holmberg from Nuorgam

There have been as many or even more ruska tourists in Upper Lapland than before the corona virus.

The fall season has gone well in Finland’s northernmost resort, Nuorgam.

– We had a very good autumn season, similar if not even better than the time before the corona, i.e. in 2019.

Central European travelers have discovered Northern Lapland this fall.

– There were more Central Europeans in particular than before.

According to Marja Holmberg, today’s travelers want to go on excursions and have fun. It is also reflected in the fact that they stay longer.

– The importance of camping and hiking has increased year by year. Various activities such as kayaking and cycling are also popular. People want to do and experience, not just stay overnight and move on.
