In addition to the annual support, the tuners have a new financial support. The city of Kokkola has already made a decision on the amount.
The regional municipalities plan to support the Kruunupy airport company with an additional 200,000 euros. The company, on the other hand, uses the money, for example, to cooperate with the Amapola airline operating in Stockholm.
Amapola flies between Kokkola-Pietarsaari and Stockholm 12 times a week. The flights started in May.
Yesterday it was reported that flights to Umeå and Skellefteå were put on hold because the number of passengers was low.
The regions of Kokkola and Pietarsaari have annually financed the airport company with 120,000 euros. EUR 200,000 is a new additional support pot. Kokkola has already made a decision on the matter, in other municipalities the matter will come up for decision-making in the near future.
