Jon Fosse, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, is now having his books translated – one of his major works will be published next year

The Norwegian author’s work has never been translated into Finnish before.

The company has also acquired the rights to Fosse’s three-book Septologien series, the first part of which was published in Norway in 2019.

Septologies is a collection of some 800 pages written in a single sentence. It explores themes of humanity, identity, family, God and art.

Jon Fosse is known internationally especially for his plays such as *Namnet,* *Nokon kjem til å komme, Barnet* and *Jenta i sofaen.*

In addition to the Nobel Prize in Literature, Fosse has won, among other things, the Swedish Academy’s Nordic Prize in 2007 and the Nordic Council’s Literature Prize in 2015.
