Riihimäki Youth Theatre faces severe cost-cutting measures – theatre gurus are being sought to help

Ten young actors are on the stage of the theater
In autumn 2022, the Riihimäki Youth Theatre presented the musical Anna mun bailaa. The play was based on music by the band Aikakone.

The Youth Theatre needs more money to maintain at least the current level of quality in its activities for children and young people.

The Riihimäki Youth Theatre launches the Teatterikummi campaign to secure its operations. The background to this is the challenging financial situation of the Youth Theatre, which is reflected for example in the pressure to raise the tuition fees.

The aim is that the theatre environment will ensure the continued development of youth theatre activities, and the maintenance of student fees at the current level. The funds raised by the Theatre GUM campaign will be channelled directly into the Youth Theatre’s student activities, such as community events for children and young people, weekly classes and performances by theatre arts groups.

The Youth Theatre is looking for sponsors from both companies and individuals. A theatre engagement lasts for one year at a time.
