Financial advice sessions will take place during the rest of the year, both face-to-face and by telephone.
Preventive financial advice will be offered to Päijäthämälä residents this autumn.
The Debt Recovery Office and the Financial and Debt Counselling Service of the Legal Aid Office organise Financial Counselling sessions in September, October and November in cooperation with various actors. In addition to the financial and debt counsellor and a representative of the bailiff’s office, other experts from Kela, the social services and the municipal employment experiment will also be present, in varying numbers.
The experts are available for face-to-face meetings three times at Lahti Helpdesk and at Salpaus in Heinola. In addition, the Financial Counselling Centre is available by telephone on three days between October and December.
The goal is to help people well before they get into debt. In the fall, we will also assess how much there is a need for this kind of service.
