Lahti wants to streamline travel on trains and local buses with a single ticket

A two-way ticket is already in use in several other regions.

With a single ticket, a passenger could, for example, transfer from the Z-train at Lahti station to a local bus.

The City of Lahti wants to introduce a common ticket that can be used to travel on both LSL buses and VR trains in Päijät-Häme. The city is proposing a mobile ticket to the Public Transport Board.

Since June, it has also been possible to buy an LSL single ticket from the VR app when buying a train ticket. Now the City of Lahti wants to further develop cooperation with VR.

A similar common ticket is already in use in Hämeenlinna, Kotka and Kouvola, for example. The Lahti Region Public Transport Board will meet on 21 September.
