A multi-purpose building to be built in Renkomäki, Lahti, will be called Aura.
The winner of the name competition held in the spring is, according to the selection team, an ambiguous name that fits well with the prehistoric rural village of Renkomäki.
A total of 660 respondents took part in the name survey and more than 1 370 nominations were received. The Aura Multipurpose House will be operational at the beginning of the spring semester 2023.
The multi-purpose building houses Renkomäki and Ali-Juhakkala schools, Renkomäki kindergarten preschool and related early childhood education, and Renkomäki library.
The total area of \u200b\u200bthe building is about 8,000 square meters and the facilities are designed for about 560 children.
Jalkaranta multi-purpose hall Jalo, Kivimaa multi-purpose hall Aarre, Launee multi-purpose hall Lähde, Liipola multi-purpose hall Onni and Rakokivi multi-purpose hall Loisto already operate in Lahti.
