North Ostrobothnia develops Baltic Sea cooperation

The European Union sees great potential for tourism in the Baltic Sea Region. The North Ostrobothnia Regional Council is developing forms of cooperation with the Pomorskie region in Poland.

The European Union wants to deepen cooperation in the Baltic Sea region to save the sea and increase prosperity in the region. North Ostrobothnia is involved in coordinating the development of tourism in the region together with the Pomorskie region in Poland.

The North Ostrobothnia Regional Council is responsible in particular for the development of sparsely populated areas and cross-border cooperation.

The first phase of the project, which started in September, will run until the end of 2024.
