HBO’s streaming service Succession has won the Emmy Award for Best Drama Series. The television Emmy Awards were handed out in Los Angeles early Tuesday morning, Finnish time.
The series had the most nominations, with 25 categories nominated in total, according to The New York Times.
In addition to Succession, Better Call Saul, Euphoria, Ozark, Severance, Squid Game, Stranger Things and Yellowjackets competed for Best Drama Series.
The best comedy series win went to Apple TV’s Ted Lasso.
Sudeikis was awarded for the second year in a row for the best male lead in a comedy series.
Netflix, which published Squid Game, emphasizes in its tweet that the male lead performer of the series was the first actor appearing in a non-English language series to win an Emmy.
