Raute Oyj begins negotiations, which may lead to the dismissal of a maximum of 30 employees or a change in the terms of employment. The change negotiations in accordance with the Cooperation Act concern 435 white-collar workers and senior white-collar workers in Finland.

The majority of Raute’s employees work in the Lahti unit. Raute manufactures and sells wood product industry technology and services worldwide.

The goal of the negotiations is to adapt the company’s operations to the changed market environment. The company is currently winding down its Russian business in a controlled manner, which formed a significant part of Raute’s order book before the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The increase in costs has also weakened the company’s profitability.

According to Strengell, there is currently no similar need for adaptation for other personnel. There is plenty of work thanks to previous and new orders.

– In early summer, we have found flexibility with the employees, such as holiday arrangements. We have also invested in sales and received new orders, va. CEO says.
