Serial offender caught again in Lahti – highwayman caught in Janakkala

A man in his 40s was caught for the 44th time on Friday for shoplifting. In Janakkala, a car was driven at over 200 km/h on the motorway.

A man in his 40s is suspected of having committed a shoplifting offence in the Trio shopping centre in Lahti. On Friday evening, the man stole products worth EUR 33.22 from Tokmann.

The Häme police consider the case worth mentioning, as this was the 44th time the man had been caught in the past year.

High speeding in Janakkala and Tammela

In Janakkala, a male driver is suspected of aggravated endangerment of traffic safety. He was driving at 205 km/h on the Helsinki-Tampere motorway between Friday and Saturday night. The speed limit on the road is 120 km/h.

In Tammela, a woman is suspected of grossly endangering traffic safety. On Friday evening, he drove 112 kilometers per hour in the 60 kilometer speed limit on Somerontie.
