The camera club is praised for promoting the accessibility of photography. The award will be presented on the Jaakonpuisto stage today as part of the Kouvola Day program.

The cultural award of the city of Kouvola has been awarded to Kouvola Kameraseura ry. The basis of the award is the active operation of the club and the promotion of the accessibility of photographic art.

Kouvola’s Camera Society donated more than 40 photo boards to the newly completed Ratamokeskus last fall. According to the working group that distributes the culture prize, art has a particularly important role in the hospital as a bringer of comfort and light. The public proposal also praised the visitors of Ratamokeskus, who are delighted by the panels.

The products of Kouvola’s Camera Society, which has been operating for 70 years, have also been exhibited in other easily accessible locations, such as the shopping center in Veturi.

The cultural award will be announced and handed out on the Jaakonpuisto stage as part of the Kouvola Day celebrations today, Saturday. The prize is 2000 euros. Last year, the award went to Jättömaa ry.
