According to the Finnish Film Foundation (SES), it is the most widely distributed Finnish film ever in the United States.

The film’s opening weekend grossed $3.25 million, making it the 10th most-watched film in the country, according to the Box Office Mojo website.

On the website Rotten Tomatoes, which collects movie reviews, 93 percent of critics have given Sisu a positive review.

Sisu is about a renegade Finnish soldier who fights against the Nazis for gold treasure during the war in Lapland.
