To put it poetically, the sky cried when Antti Tuisku said goodbye to the concert stages of his hometown. The first people in line had already arrived in the morning.

– I hope that I could be an example that any of us can really stop at our own inner voice. I hope that each of you dares to get to know what life has to offer, Tuisku told the audience, who had come to Lapland’s biggest ice rink through the weather that bears its name.

I’m not the best singer or dancer in the world, but I’ve been blessed with one thing, and that’s a passion for listening to and creating my own inner voice, Tuisku says.

In his interludes, Tuisku discussed both his childhood in Rovaniemi and his own enormous work ethic. However, the biggest thanks went to the fans.

– I didn’t get to experience the best moments of my life with you, but I got to grow with you and share the hardest moments of my life with you, Tuisku thanked.

A grande finale worthy of Rovaniemi

The Rovaniemi school filled the hall right from the beginning of the evening. The party was already on its feet during the first song. The show of the Mayhem tour lived up to its name and the audience welcomed it with a party.

Tuisku said he was more excited than usual about the Rovaniemi gig. Joy and gratitude radiated from the artist’s face in front of the crowd.

– I’ve received a lot of messages from you that Antti won’t forget us… I’m just thinking with tears in my eyes that you won’t forget me, Tuisku became sensitive on stage.

In his career, Tuisku has brought out his home region in different ways. In 2006, he released an album called Rovaniemi. Tuisku has also marketed his hometown both at the Olympic Stadium, on his social media channels and in interviews.

Tuisku’s hometown was also visible at the gig as the Rovaniemi Palloseura scarf around his neck on stage, and the family members who came to watch were also thanked.

When his career as an artist ends, Tuisku plans to continue his everyday life in Spain. He graduated five years ago as an exercise counselor and last fall as a solution-oriented brief therapist.

Before the end of his career, Tuisku can be seen as part of the Mayhem tour at the Helsinki Ice Hall (May 5-6) and in the summer at three festival gigs. The latest of them is in Ruisrock on July 8.
