– The August heat was a wonderful bonus. There were still a good number of passengers and there was a kind of unbudgeted income, says Noora Kivi.

For the summer of 2023, Roll Risteilyt is thinking about possible cruises to Pohjois Kallaveti. The plan is to continue cooperation with Kuopio Oppaat association.

Seppo Pirinen, entrepreneur of Kuopio’s Koski-Laiva Oy, characterizes the cruise summer as mediocre.

– You have to be satisfied with the summer, because Finns went abroad a lot and there were few tourists in Kuopio. The order runs saved this season, says Pirinen.

Charter cruises continue until October. According to Pirinen, who has been running a cruise company in Kallavede for 25 years, the archipelago city still holds its ground as a cruise destination. For example, groups like to see the scenery of Saaristokaupunki.
