Rowling accused of transphobic statements

The TV series is scheduled to be released on the new Max streaming service, which will be launched in the United States in May. Max combines the already existing HBO Max and Discovery Plus streaming services.

\”Max’s commitment to preserving the integrity of my books is important to me, and I look forward to being a part of this new adaptation that allows for the depth and detail that only long-running television series can provide,\” Rowling said in a statement.

In recent years, the author has been accused of making transphobic statements, as he has made controversial comments about transactions. He has emphasized the gender defined at birth instead of the gender people identify with.
