Discovery fees have been paid since 2012 for more than 200 nests. The amount of the reward has been established at one hundred euros. In some years it may have been 99 euros.

Metsähallitus does not pay a finder’s fee for nests of sea eagles found in areas other than the reindeer husbandry area.
