The fire at the Stalatube factory did not cause major damage - the Lahti-based company’s production continues almost as normal

The fire that broke out on the roof of the factory did not have time to spread to the production premises. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.

The damage caused by the fire that broke out yesterday at Stalatube Oy’s factory in Möysä, Lahti was less than expected.

– It was lucky that the fire did not spread to the interior, so the damage was less than feared. There was some damage mainly from the extinguishing water, but I have already started most of the factory and the capacity effects are small.

According to Packalén, small repairs and safety inspections still have to be done at the production facility, after which production will return to normal speed. He could not yet estimate the extent of the financial damages.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
