Twenty events will be organised around the county during the Village Culture for Wellbeing project. The focus will be on low-threshold cultural events.
This year, the cultural activities of the province’s sparsely populated rural areas will receive a boost.
The Village Culture Wellbeing project of the Finnish Youth Associations’ North Karelia Regional Office brings diverse culture to rural areas for all ages. The focus is on low-threshold cultural activities that are easy for everyone to get involved in.
During the project, 20 events, courses or workshops will be organised around the province. Some of the events will be free of charge.
For example, there will be a dance course for adults in Kesälahti, and there will be a concert and a children’s circus camp in Rääkkylä. Poetry evenings and various theater-related courses are organized in Nurme.
The cultural tour employs art and culture professionals in the region. The project is financed by the Art Promotion Center.
