At the beginning of the season, the expectations for the slopes were bleak in terms of visitor numbers, partly due to the energy crisis. However, the number of holidaymakers has remained the same as in recent years.

The winter holiday weeks treated the Kainuu slope centres well.

Both Ukkohalla and Vuokatti are satisfied with the past three weeks.

At the start of the season, expectations were still gloomy due to the energy crisis, among other things. However, as in recent years, there have been plenty of holidaymakers. The 2022 season was the peak year for domestic ski resorts.

From the slopes of Vuokatin, it is said that the worst fears of autumn have been overcome.

It is said about Ukkohalla that the early season was quieter, but the spring is expected to be lively like the winter holidays due to, among other things, the good snow conditions and the time of Easter.

Suutarinen says that during the first two weeks of the winter holiday, Vuokatti accumulated about 30,000 days off. In Ukkohalla, it is estimated that the number of days off during the entire winter holiday season will be the same as in 2022, i.e. a good 11,000.
