Lapua Festivals, which used to produce the festival, announced a month ago that it was filing for bankruptcy. Now the festival has found a new organiser.
The Vanhan Pauku festival in Lapua will continue when the event is taken over by the Lapua-based programme agency *MP-Viihde Oy*.
The two-day festival, which runs until the end of July, was announced a month ago as the former producer *Lapua Festivals* announced its voluntary bankruptcy.
Rising costs and three consecutive years of losses sealed the decision to close.
According to Palomäki, the program will be filed in a more commercial direction so that there will be more artists familiar to the general public.
The Old Pauku festival brings together the people of Lapua and the province. Around 2,500–3,000 people have visited the festival every year.
MP-Viihde Oy represents numerous Finnish artists and bands in terms of concert sales. The company also runs *Lapua Latosaari*.
