Mikkeli’s Hulivil Carnival received a grant of 15,000 euros from the ministry

15,000 euros were awarded to the 2023 children’s culture festival Hulivili Carnival. The Ministry of Education and Culture supports a total of ten children’s art and culture events with 195,000 euros.

The city of Mikkeli has been granted 15,000 euros to organize the 2023 children’s culture festival Hulivili Carnival. The Hulivil Carnival is an annual event in Mikkeli aimed at children and families with children.

The ministry supports 25 children’s culture centers around the country. In addition, the Association of Finnish Children’s Cultural Centers will receive support of 140,000 euros and the Finnish Observatory of Art and Cultural Education will receive 30,000 euros.

Among others, the Children’s Culture Festival Pikkuprovinsi in Seinäjoki, the Kirjalitta Children’s Literature and Art Festival in Tampere, the Children’s Art Festival Hippalot 2023 in Hämeenlinna and the Children’s Winter Carnival in Lahti also receive a grant.

The goal of the grant is to increase equal access to art and culture for children. The grant also aims to strengthen regional cooperation between actors in the arts and culture sector.
