In Utsjoki, the planning of Lohikeskus is starting. The municipality has received an allocation of 150,000 euros from the parliament. The reason was the ban on salmon fishing, which has lasted two summers in Teno.

The first step is to hire a project manager for the Salmon Center for about a year.
