Actor Kari-Pekka Toivonen moves in his latest role as a former police officer in Rauma. A huge number of roles have fit into my career. We tested how well they are in the mind.
A man known from many movies and TV series is walking in the center of Rauma. Heads turn.
– Were there any… there are dozens of them, Toivonen laughs.
According to Wikipedia, there are 43 roles. That is not entirely true, because the list of the free encyclopedia lacks roles.
Currently, Toivonen is involved in the *Portti 44* movie.
The work group can fit in a small room
The film will be filmed this month at Rauma’s town hall, among other places. It can’t be seen outside, and not really inside either, because the entire film crew has retreated to one studio to film.
The door is closed.
A work group can fit in the small room. There are only a handful of authors.
The auteur designation can be used for an author who is practically responsible for many areas. Tony Heino writes, directs and partly produces his films.
The filming of the third feature film is currently underway. The public has only seen the directorial debut *Toinen mies*, whose actors’ professionalism has been praised, not so much the movie.
The pattern is familiar to Pori-based film directors.
*Routa*, filmed last year, is ready for its premiere.
– The time for that is this year anyway, Heino promises.
The justification for the frantic pace of work is that if you want to enter the industry as a creator, you must have evidence. One movie is not enough
– I want to make it big. When normally two films are made in ten years, I want to make 20 films in the same time.
All in a suitably small area
Director Tony Heino has stated that he prefers to make his films in the province rather than in the capital region.
So Rauma is a logical choice.
– In a descriptive city, everything is conveniently located in a small area. Not too many movies have been shot here either, Heino explains.
– I saw that there are many flea markets near here, Mikkola enthuses.
Kari-Pekka doesn’t remember Kari
Panu Mikkola and Kari Pekka Toivonen have both previously worked with Tony Heino. Toivonen remembers his old roles quite well, but not all of them.
We tested whether he can remember what movie it is based on just the names of the roles?
Works from even 30 years ago are brilliantly remembered. Then comes a dark moment. He doesn’t remember in which movie he played a character named Kari.
It’s pretty funny from Kari-Peka.
