Raute is still cutting costs – starting negotiations on layoffs of up to 90 days

The company estimates that it does not need to resort to layoffs now.

Raute starts change negotiations on layoffs. The company, which suffered from the effects of the Russian war of aggression, is trying to cut costs in order to improve competitiveness and profitability, and layoffs are one way to do this.

According to the company’s press release, the negotiations concern production employees in Finland. Most of them work at Nastola in Lahti. Raute also has a unit in Kajaani.

Raute estimates that the negotiations concern layoffs of a maximum of 90 days, and there is no need for layoffs. The company started its savings-oriented development program in the summer of 2022.

Raute manufactures and sells wood product industry technology and services.
