The hype surrounding the Eurovision representative Käärijä reminds me of Lord, writes music journalist Ville Vedenpää.
The crushing victory showed that Finns strongly believe in Käärijä and the song. This is something special that appeals to us and is worth sending to Eurovision.
– I’m going to win that race, Käärijä said Tyyne confidently at the press conference after the race.
The possibility of success in Eurovision is really possible. Käärijä and *Cha Cha cha* are liked elsewhere than here. Let’s even win a fiver.
Many foreigners have commented on social media that this is not at all the kind of music I would normally listen to, but somehow you have to like this.
*Cha Cha cha* appale is a strange mix of different music styles and despite the aggressiveness of the beginning, it is easy to absorb and memorable. The artist, on the other hand, is somehow strange but likable.
It was with these qualities that Lordi won the Eurovision Song Contest. There are similar signs in the air here.
But there’s always something to rock when you’re going to perform in front of millions of TV viewers.
Käärijä’s UMK bet included Euro stages and Cha Cha dancers. They were fun, but for the Eurovision stage, you have to come up with something much bigger and flashier without forgetting originality.
The wrapper and *Cha Cha cha* will definitely share opinions. Some love and some hate. But that’s exactly the way to stand out and succeed in Eurovision.
Finland has been at the top of the Eurovision betting statistics for the beginning of the year, which is exceptional. It has been thanks to UMK and especially Käärijä’s millions of streams. Predictions are not the whole truth, but they give an indication of success.
But what kind of competitors does Käärijä have to face in Liverpool? At this stage, only half of the competition songs have been published, so no big conclusions can be made yet. At this stage, however, the level is not very good.
There will certainly be more tough opposition, but one thing is certain. In Liverpool, the crowd shouts *cha Cha cha*! And that victory is not completely impossible either.
