In the ski resorts of Tahko and Koli, the winter holiday week for southern Finns is almost sold out. The situation is quite similar to last year.
Southern Finns are on a skiing holiday this week. Accommodation in Tahko and Koli is almost fully booked for the Southern Finland holiday week. The Rauhalahti spa hotel in Kuopio is also almost full.
Accommodation providers believe that almost all apartments will be full for the next two weeks as well. Typically, the holiday weeks in Nurmes Bomba are busier for people from central and northern Finland, and there are only a few rooms left.
Booking practices have changed
The booking situation in accommodation establishments is fairly similar to a year ago. The possibility of going abroad for a holiday does not seem to have reduced domestic tourism during the winter holidays.
However, the booking situation lives on every day, because according to the entrepreneurs, Korona has changed the booking practices. Outside of the busiest times, the trip is booked even later. Before, trips were booked months in advance, but nowadays we are talking about weeks or days.
