You can get an assessment of your infant’s need for a coronary vaccination from the paediatric outpatient clinic of the central hospital, a paediatric clinic or a health and social services centre.

Previously, it was only possible to give a child a coronary vaccination from the age of five.

Coronary vaccination will now be extended to children up to six months of age.

The Päijät-Häme Welfare Region follows the THL guidelines, according to which the coronary vaccination can be administered to children at risk from the age of six months onwards, based on individual consideration.

Previously, it was possible to give the coronary vaccine to a child from the age of five.

The vaccination can be obtained from the Lahti family center by appointment. The reservation is made electronically from Päijät-sote’s website.

However, a child cannot be scheduled for a corona vaccination before a healthcare professional has assessed the need. A needs assessment can be obtained from a counseling center, a social security center by phone or from the pediatric outpatient clinic of the central hospital.

Other children can receive vaccinations for a special reason, for example depending on the destination country of a trip abroad.
