Portion Boys’ JaloTiina: Cyberbullying is a big phenomenon that cannot be silenced – watch the mini-documentary about the band’s trip to Ostrobothnia

Portion Boys organised a well-attended fan meeting in Isojoe. Yle followed the band’s twelve-hour tour.

This huge popularity also has its downside.

Yle had to intervene by reminding the audience on social media that such behaviour is in no way acceptable. Recently, Forsby said he would report the defamatory comments to the police.

– This has affected me in many ways. I have been thinking very broadly about the causes of bullying. Even though bullying is currently profiled in me, I have realised that it is a big universal phenomenon,” Forsby tells Yle on a trip to Isojoe.

Forsby has also discussed the matter with other artists.

– I am saddened by how common bullying, barking and slander is. It seems that people feel extremely bad and the bad feeling is taken out on people who are exposed a lot. Every time something wonderful happens to our band, there is some new nice thing, the downside is inappropriate commenting.

Tiina Forsby has received support from numerous musicians and her fans.

– I have received a lot of peer support. I have also been encouraged to speak up and have been unable to remain silent. If you want to change this kind of phenomenon, the only thing that will help is talking about bullying and the discussion it causes.

Hot reception from fans

There was no information about the annoying phenomenon of bullying in Isojoki in Southern Ostrobothnia. On a Sunday in February, close to 1,500 people from all over Finland gathered in the yard of the office building of the small Ostrobothnia municipality. The population is only slightly less than the population of the entire municipality.

The pace is accelerating

The band’s popularity has also been increased by entering this year’s UMK final. The *Samaa skya lalamana* song has been praised not only for its catchy beat but also for its humane message.

– I’ve been an absolutely insane fan of Visu since I was a child. As a child, I could never have imagined that I would have the opportunity to participate in the pursuit of a Eurovision spot, and this feels incredibly wonderful, says Tiina Forsby of the band.

– I feel that what we do has not changed terribly, but of course the larger audience we reach may see it in a different way. Our operations can be even more purposeful, thoughtful and thoughtful. However, the principle and the mood of doing things have not changed and I believe they never will.
