There have been problems with the payment of wages for temporary workers in welfare areas – some do not receive their wages until mid-February

In several welfare areas, the deficiencies have been small and it was possible to correct them already during Tuesday. Some areas survived almost without problems.

Part of the wages or salaries of temporary workers in the new welfare areas will not be paid on Tuesday due to system problems. Employees will receive their salaries and bonuses later.

There have been problems in Finland proper and Lapland, for example.

The salary of a few fixed-term employees has not been paid at all. Kuittinen says that they will receive their salary on the extra salary payment day on February 3.

There was no time to correct the errors, so the salaries that are not paid on Tuesday will be paid to the employees in mid-February.

In Finland proper, salaries and allowances will be paid to more than 17,000 employees on Tuesday. There are a total of 23,000 employees in the welfare area.

In other areas, the problems are smaller

There have also been minor problems in other welfare areas. Both in Central Finland and Pirkanmaa, they have affected a few dozen employees.

There are approximately 2,500 temporary employees in Central Finland. In Pirkanmaa, Tuesday’s salary payment concerned almost 3,000 employees.

In the Pohjois-Savo welfare region, salaries were successfully paid to around 6,000 employees on Tuesday. About 160 had to be supplemented.

In the welfare area of \u200b\u200bEtelä Savo, the mistakes have been isolated. They have been able to be repaired immediately. The welfare region of Ostrobothnia has also only received individual contacts.

Likewise, some incorrect payments have been corrected in the welfare area of \u200b\u200bWestern Uusimaa. The welfare region of Länsi-Uusimaa will also organize an additional salary payment on Friday, February 3.

There are also areas where salary payment has gone almost completely without problems.

This is the case, for example, in Central Ostrobothnia, South Ostrobothnia, North Karelia and Päijät-Hämee.

There were also problems with the payment of wages for the welfare regions more than two weeks ago, when the first salaries of the welfare regions that started at the turn of the year were paid on January 13. At that time, about three-quarters of the wage earners in the welfare regions were on the pay shift.
