Ossi Ahlapuro died in the hospital on Sunday, January 29. He had cancer.
Ahlapuro was an actor and musician whose deep and powerful voice attracted the attention of radio theater in the 1960s. Ahlapuro did auditions for Yle for almost 40 years, and appeared in animated films as a voice actor.
Born in 1939 in Vyborg, Ahlapuro began his career as an actor in the Punainen Mylly revue theater at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s.
