PAM gave a strike warning on Sunday unexpectedly in the middle of the TES negotiations in order to speed up the progress of the negotiations.

The trade union PAM issued a strike warning to the trade sector on Sunday.

According to the union’s announcement, there are more than 185 workplaces in the scope of the strike warning nationwide, where a total of about 20,000 employees work. The strikes would start in the warehouses on Monday, February 6 and continue in other trade locations from February 9.

A possible strike in the Päijät-Häme area concerns a few large food stores in Hollola and Lahti. In addition, the strike includes the Transval warehouse located in Orimattila.

If a negotiated solution is not reached, the strike will begin at the Orimattila warehouse on Monday morning, February 6, and end early in the morning on Thursday, February 9.

In grocery stores, the strikes are supposed to start from the morning of Thursday, February 9, and continue until Saturday morning, February 11.

In Lahti, K-Citymarket Karisma and Paavola, Prisma Laune and Syke and Hollola’s Prisma will be affected by the strike.

PAM and the trade union representing the employers have negotiated wages and working conditions in the industry. PAM’s board aims for salary increases of around 200 euros for the employees.
