Residents’ ideas are once again needed in Lahti’s participatory budgeting

This year, 200,000 euros have been set aside for community development of the city.

The people of Lahti are once again invited to participate in the city’s development in the form of budgeting. A total of 200,000 euros has been reserved for the implementation of various ideas.

This year’s osbu themes are well-being, community, environment and sustainability. With the sustainability theme, you can, for example, propose the renovation or repair of already existing objects.

The ideation phase starts on Thursday, January 26 and ends on March 5. Ideas can be suggested on the city’s website or by leaving a voice message on the automatic robot phone, the osbu phone.

All proposals are evaluated by the city’s experts during the spring. The ideation phase has been developed to be more transparent, so that the proposed ideas and experts’ comments are published online already during the ideation phase.

During February, several ideation workshops will be organized for children, young people and the elderly, among others.

Implementable ideas are developed together with the residents in open workshops in April and May. All Lahti residents can vote for ideas from 22 May to 11 June. between.

The ideas that received the most votes will be implemented during the next year. The most popular residents’ idea of \u200b\u200bthe previous osbu was the Work for young people, Lahti siistiksi project, which was implemented last year.
