The Myllypohja multi-purpose building in Lahti is on schedule

Special attention has been paid to waste management at the Myllypohja site. Less than 10% of all construction waste ends up in landfill.

The Myllypohja multi-purpose building has risen to its gable height in Lahti.

The house project concerns about 8,000 square meters, of which 6,000 square meters will be new construction.

The extension of the school building, completed in the 1980s, has been demolished and will be replaced by a new building. The building also includes an old protected part.

The multi -purpose house will include a school, a kindergarten and a library, according to a city release. The facilities are designed for 468 children.

Construction will continue until summer 2026, after which the house will be fitted and furnished. The multi -purpose house is in use in August 2026.
