Alien species can be controlled even in the rainy rain

Currently, there are more than 300 harmful alien species in Finland, and new ones are constantly being identified.

The growing season of harmful alien species has already begun in many places. It is easiest to start fighting in the spring, while the vegetation is still low and have not yet been able to increase.

For example, eradicating a perennial magnifying alupin is difficult and can last for years as its seeds remain for a very long time to germinate. Magnian plants cannot be destroyed by mowing, but its spread can be controlled by preventing the development of new seeds.

Care must be taken when control of the giant tube, as its plant fluid causes respiratory symptoms and slowly healing blisters like burns.

In addition to harmful alien species, spring and early summer are also a good time in the fight against Spanish sparkle. In Riihimäki this spring, the city will give residents a pesticide that can be fought against killers.

– In Hämeenlinna, a lot of announcements were made last autumn about Black Pätano. I had never acquainted with it before, says environmental expert Hanna Tuominen.

Like Riihimäki, in Hämeenlinna, there will also be trash cans in the street scene, where you can put the picked, killed alien species.

It is also advisable to destroy the rapidly reproduction of the foliage. It is not an alien species, but in home yards and gardens it can multiply into a real scarf.
