Basketball league newcomer Lahti Basketball is already building a new team

The division championship came with a convincing game. Next year’s budget is at least half a million euros.

Lahti Basketball will return to the highest level of the league, the Men’s Basketball League, next season.

The team secured the 1A division championship on Tuesday by winning the final series against Jyväskylä Basketball Academy with a clean 3-0 score.

After being relegated from the main league last spring, Lahti lost only one game in their division season.

On Tuesday, there were just over 1,800 spectators watching the finals.

For the league season in Lahti, a budget of at least half a million euros is being assembled.

The issues related to the league license are expected to be dealt with by mid -May.
